FP-01 NOS ANILINE DYE
These are NOS (New Old Stock) oil based aniline dyes. They are made with old school formula and are limited in supply. These dyes comes in powder form and its formulation is most suited for wood applications. These dye powders are used by actual guitar luthiers and offers much flexibility to guitar related work.
Usage
FP-01 dyes will dissolve in Lacquer thinners, Acetone or other mineral spirits.
For use, stir the powder in oil based spirits. From this point you can adjust the dye color to your requirement either by

- Adding more powder to add the concentration OR
- Adding more spirits to thin it.
There are several methods of applications
- The mixed solution can be rubbed onto the surface using cotton or rags
- Brushed on using paint brushes, no top quality brush is required
- Additionally you can mix the dye powder into nitrocellulose lacquer and apply using spray equipment.
- The powder can be mixed to achieve different color shades, for example you can your desired shade of green by mixing the blue and yellow powder.
Additional Tips
- Keep the powder in a dry place. These can be stored for years.
- For rubbing on, the surface must not be sealed or filled. So that the color will be absorbed effectively.
- Upon rubbing, most wood grain would be raised, do sand away the raised grain and repeat rubbing process if necessary.

Stains
Specialist Wood Stains
These are extra strength concentrated oil based liquid stains, designed for direct application or tinting of lacquer. They can be thinned with thinner or mixed with other colors.
Note : These stains dissolves in paint thinner and do not dissolve in water or alcohol or mineral spirits.
Directions:
- Prepare wood surface where stain is to be applied by sanding with 180-300 grit sandpaper. Keep surface dry.
- Add stain to container using small spoon or coffee stirrer
For Direct Application : Add thinner before adding appropriate amount of stain. Use a paint brush, cotton balls or rags for application. Wear gloves to keep fingers from being stained
For Spraying Application: Add stain into the pre mixed lacquer/thinner solution. - These stains can be mixed with other colors to produce and endless range.
Caution:
Protective gloves are recommended. Keep out of reach from children.
